Photo 1: There is just something about church towers that make the skyline of cities, towns and villages interesting to look at.

Photo 2: The first 9 km today went uphill.

Photo 3: At the top was this old chapel. It was a nice place to sing my pilgrim song and pray for those three spiritual roots to break through in the soul of the Czech Republic.

Photo 4: Czech countryside

Photo 5: The city of Nepomuk where St. John of Nepomuk was born in 1345. He was killed by being thrown from the Charles Bridge in Prague on March 20, 1393.

I had a short God-talk with the receptionist at the hotel where I would stay Saturday and Sunday night. She had never read the story of Jesus and did not have a New Testament. I offered to have one sent to her by my collegues in the Czech Republic. She said: "Maybe I will learn something new." I responded: "Not only will you learn something new, but you will be renewed." May that root of discovering God's word come forth...
