Skala Oropou - Kapandriti

The first half of the hike today went along the coast (photo 2), the second half over a mountain (photo 1). Both parts had wonderful views.

When I came to the mountain town at the end of today's hike, I saw a group of teens and asked if anyone spoke English and whether they knew where I might find a place to stay the night. I did not think there would be a bed and breakfast or hotel there, and they confirmed this. I noticed one girl was wearing a necklace with a cross. I asked her if the cross ment anything to her. I was happy to hear her say yes, that she was a Christian and believed in God. I then shared with the group my story and encouraged them to follow Jesus, that he will help them overcome the challenges they will face in life, just as he did for me.

I found refuge for the night at a remote church where I could put up my tent behind the back wall...
