Skroponeria - Chalikida

Photo 1: When I came down from the mountain yesterday, I knew that there were no places to buy groceries, eat or stay overnight. Luckily I had enough water and food provisions for the evening and the morning and I found wind protection for my tent behind the wall of this church.

Photo 3-4: The first half of today's hike was very beautiful and went along the coast. The second half went through the mainland and was on a state road. It rained twice and quite heavily so that I had to put on my poncho. During the second round of rain I thought of my time in Athens and prayed specifically that God would lead me to at least one person who was needing God's grace for a new start in life where I could say: "God loves you so much that he had me walk from Germany to Greece so I could talk to you."

Photo 5: I was happy when I arrived in Chalkida and was really looking forward to the day of rest tomorrow. I had a short conversation with a young couple who took this photo of me and prayed a prayer of blessing over them.
