Saarbrücken - Rohrbach-les-Bitche

Photo 1: A great hiker's breakfast with Waldemar before I left Saarbrücken. Even with the extra day of rest, the time went by so quick. Now a new day and a new week begin... ready or not!

Photo 2: The stretch started today once again on the bicycle path alongside the Saar River.

Photo 3: Later I was back on the foot paths through woods and fields.

Photo 4: Looking from Germany to France. Today I would enter France and be there through Friday morning. I was never sure how I should greet people in the border towns, because I would hear both French and German being spoken. Sometimes people would just say hello instead of maybe saying something in the one language or the other. Walking now in France anf shortly before my destination, I saw a man and a woman talking with each other and it sounded like German. They looked at me and so I greeted them in Bavarian, German, French and English: "Grüß Gott! Guten Tag! Bonjour! Hello!" Now they were curious and wanted to know where I was from. That led to a short God-talk.Their comments let me know that they were not living in zhe God connection, but they took notice that it was Jesus who was with me and giving me the strength to do the trip.

Photo 5: I put my tent up on this private field where the owners allow campers to stay a night. I had a similar conversation with them as mentioned above.
