Photo 1: Waldemar and I are standing in front of the Saarbrücken Church which was started 40 years ago by good friends and collegues of mine, Paul and Mechthild Clark.

After a number of rough years, the church is doing really well now with Pastor Waldemar and JinJin Kollert, who had been intercultral workers with VM-I reaching out to immigrants in Germany. This is now reflected in the congregation with many nations being represented there. Unfortunately I do not have a picture with JinJin. They were wonderful hosts. We have many good talks and prayer time together.

Photo 2: Waldemar took me to a Turkish restaurant for breakfast this morning. On our way back to the car we passed the St. John's Church in the heart of the city. The church was closed, but a man, Mike, was sitting on the steps waiting to hear the organist practice playing music for the Sunday service. I started talking with him which led to a God-talk. After I prayed for him, he was close to tears and said it touched his heart. Waldemar invited him to church and the two exchanged contact information. May Mike find that God connection in Jesus.

In the evening I participated in a small group at the church with people from several different nations and language backgrounds. It was a lot of fun. Today was an extra rest day for me... and Willy.
