Photo 1: The evening sun over the Saar River. This photo was taken from one of the Saarbrücken bridges.

Photo 2: Just about the whole stretch of 38 kilometers would be on this bicycle path alongside the Saar River. Before I got to it, though, I walked on a side road that was blocked off by a fence at one point. When I got to the fence I saw a family of wild pigs crossing the open way on the other side before me. It happened so quick that I had no time to document it with a photo. It was the most exciting thing I saw all day.

Photo 3: One of the many bridges that I walked under, this one shortly before Saarbrücken. My feet really felt the hard pavement from the bike trail after such a long stretch.

Photo 4: I walked by this church in the early evening on my way to my destination. It was the wrong way through. I put in a wrong number in Google Maps for the zipcode which led me to a pizzeria in another part of the city instead of to my host's home. I was exhausted and about 3-4 kolometers away from where I should have landed. I will be staying the next three nights with Waldemar and JinJin Kollert. I called Waldemar and he came with the car to pick me up.

Photo 5: After nine straight nights and ten out of the last eleven camping and sleeping in a sleeping bag, Willy was glad to have a bed once again. That was a whale of a record for Willy to have so many camping nights in a row.
