Namur - Dinant

Photo 1: This is what it looks like when I start the day...

Photo 2: It was supposed to rain in the morning. I was so glad to see the sun break through. I could see by the dampness on the walkway that rain had come here and there, but had moved on before I got there. If only it could always be like that!

Photo 3: Almost the whole day I walked along the Meuse River, sometimes with very beautiful views.

The last part of my walk through Southern England I was dealing with a shin splint in my right leg. Dr. Googles suggested rest and avoiding extreme activity that involved my leg. Dr. Jesus encouraged me to trust him and keep taking it one day at a time and one step after another. After one week it really did not bother me while walking, but I could still feel some discomfort in the evening. Now I am happy to say that since my weekend in Waterloo/Brussels I have no more discomfort. Thanks be to God!

This walkway is part of the official Camero/Way of St. James through Belgium. I was actually able to get a pilgrim stamp put in my pilgrim passport in Divant. I did not see any other backpacker or pilgrim on the path, though.

Photo 5: Not everyone is a "chicken" to sleep in a tent...

The campground was another hour walk from Divant. Just after I got my tent up, this chicken scurried under the tent entrance and came right back out. For the next number of nights I will be sleeping in a tent. It is my prayer that I could put it up in the evening without rain. So far, so good.
