Photo 1: Astrid has discovered a new passion this summer: The E-Bike. We did a WhatsApp call today while she was riding it. Before when we would ride bikes, I would always need to slow down and wait for her. Now it will most likely be the other way around...
Today was a very needed day of rest after the long hikes in warm sunny weather this past week. The place where I stayed was very peaceful and cool air came into my room from the garden. The woman who owns the place and also lives there, is from Wales. She grew up in a very harsh "Christian" environment that showed little love and knew no grace. In her heart, though, is a longing for the God connection. We had some good talks and I was able to pray for her before I left on Monday morning. Pray for Lliwen that she would take that step of faith and trust.
Photo 2: "The flag of England"
The flag of England is the Cross of St. George, the patron saint of England. It features a straight red cross that goes across a plain white background. During the crusades in the Middle Ages, English knights wore the red cross on white tunics to show their Christian faith in battles. The red cross stands for bravery and the blood of the saint. The white background stands for peace and honesty.
