Enniscorthy - Wexford

Photo 1: "St. Killian's Well"
St. Killian was born in Mullagh County in Ireland in the year 640 AD. He died a martyr in Würzburg, Bavaria, Germany in 689 AD. Later a cathedral was built there in his memory. At some point before Killian went to Germany, he dug this well which still flows today. I drank from the water... it was good!

Photo 2: There are a lot of hydrangeas in Ireland, big and beautiful.

Photo 3: Quite often I got what I needed on provisions for the day at Dunnes Stores. I wonder if I might be a long lost relative. The family name "Dunn" most likely comes from Ireland. Perhaps I have walked paths that my forefathers had once walked.

Photo 4: "Ripped backpack - the next challenge"

I got to the campground in Wexford in good time and thought that I might be able to either work on my blog or walk down to the beach. Neither would be the case. The small tear in the hip belt of my backpack had become a major rip. I walked into town to try to find a strong needle and thread. I did. Sowing the pieces together was not easy and took a bit of time. In the pricess I bent the strong needle and the extra strength thread broke twice. I write this post one week later and can let you know that the sowing job is still holding. While I was working on the backpack in the recreation room at the campground, I met David from the USA. We had a God-talk that would not have happened, had my backpck not needed the repair. This God-talk would continue together with his girl friend, Beck, from Australia the next day.
