Photo 1: I thought my walk to Waterloo almost four weeks ago would be my last hike over 40 kilometers. I was wrong. Today's stretch would be a total of 40.41 km and I would have another hike of a similar distance next week. My stratigy for these long hikes is to get up earlier and try to get about 20 km done before I take my lunch break. I am always so happy at the end of the day when I can take my hiking shoes off, especially on days like this.

Photos 2 + 3: Early morning on the trail. I rarely see people on the paths now, and when I do, then they are usually bikers or maybe a jogger or now and then a dog walker.

Photo 5: Today woth the distance I also had 1078 altimeters. The stretch leveled out at the end with a walk through the Schmiechen Valley.
