Photo 1: "The Hohenzollern Castle"

You could actually see this famous castle, first built in the early 11th century, from the campground. I took this picture, though, a bit further down the road. Last night I met a couple at the campground who were doing a six day bicycle tour. I shared a few things from my journey and life in the evening and continued the conversation this morning shortly before my departure. They were staying an extra day to visit the castle. When I asked them if they were walking with Jesus as well, the husband answered: "Not really." After my prayer of blessing, the wife wiped away a tear. Maybe that time of talk and prayer was a nudge towards heaven.

Photo 2: Looking back after the first big climb of the day. Rain is coming...

Photo 3: The Saint Anne pilgrimage chapel was first mentioned in documents in 1507. I managed to have my lunch break on a park bench with a view of this church just before the rain caught up to me.

Photo 4: For most of the afternoon I walked with my poncho on. I was glad to have a warm shower in a guesthouse at the end of the day.
