Photo 1: I am always happy when I see a way marker for the Camino. I have yet, though, to meet another pilgrim on the Camino path this trip.
Photo 2: Horb on the Neckar River. I stayed last night at the campground on the edge of this city.
Photo 3: One of the foot paths on the trail today.
Photo 4: An old window in a village...

On my way to the campground I saw a group of young men after I crossed a bridge over a waterway. They were doing an E-Bike tour and taking a smoking break. Then I came around the corner, an old man walking with a heavy backpack. It was quite a contrast. I asked them how they were doing and they asked me the same. So we started talking. They did not believe that I will be turning 70 in December until I showed them my ID. Then I had their attention. I told them that Jesus was my Personal Trainer since I was 16. I then shared with them how important it is to take the necessary small steps now in order to have the right direction on life's long journey. It was a good and brief encounter. They even thanked me for the short talk.
The owner of the campground was a 77 year old man who loved doing what he was doing. We related well to each other. When I shared with him my story of how God became real in my life, he said he felt goose pimples, and his eyes teared up as I spoke out a blessing for him. Tonight would have been my last tent night, but the campground owner allowed me to sleep on the floor of a building that apparently had once been used as a canteen. This gave me shelter from the cold temperature in the night, plus I did not need to get my tent dry in the morning.
